Important Note:
Do not use a TENS machine with a cardiac pacemaker or with a seizure disorder. TENS unit CANNOT be used in water. You must remove the pads before getting in the bath/shower and then re-apply after.
It is important to mention that for maximum benefit, TENS needs to be started in early labor before contractions become overwhelmingly strong
Hire Terms & Conditions
The TENS device remains the property of Birth Bestie at all times.
Birth Bestie provides the Hirer with an Elle TENS 2 on the understanding that it will only be used by the individual whose name appears on the booking form. It is non-transferable.
The Hirer must have consulted their healthcare provider about the use of the Elle TENS 2 device and obtained approval.
The Elle TENS 2 unit must be used in accordance with the instructions provided.
Birth Bestie is not liable for any injury or damage resulting from improper use of the TENS device.
The ELLE TENS device is provided in optimal working condition, results are not guaranteed or implied.
The Hirer acknowledges they have read and understand the precautions associated with using the TENS machines.
TENS Devices should not be used by individuals with epilepsy, those fitted with a cardiac pacemaker, or individuals diagnosed or suspected of having heart disease.
Refunds will not be issued if the Hirer chooses not to use the TENS device.
Once your order has been dispatched we are unable to cancel or refund the order as the service has already been provided.
The Hirer agrees to return the TENS unit and lead wires in the same condition as it was received. A damage fee of $30 will apply if the lead wires are not returned in working condition.
The Hirer agrees to return the TENS device by the scheduled return date or a late fee will be charged.
Birth Bestie reserves the right to charge the replacement cost of any lost, stolen, or damaged Birth Bestie unit or its components.
The standard hire period is 6 weeks (or 8 weeks) hire on your agreed duration. The TENS unit must be mailed to Birth Bestie 2 weeks after your due date unless an extension has been agreed upon prior. Failure to return the unit on time will incur additional fees.
All Elle TENS devices are tested before dispatch to ensure they are in perfect working order.
Birth Bestie is released from any liability relating to the use of the TENS unit in the event of unexpected or undesirable outcomes.
Burst Mode: To use between contractions, the Elle TENS 2 includes two burst modes: one for early labour, and the other when contractions are more frequent. You’ll feel a pulsing, tingling sensation come and go with each pulse. More importantly, burst mode stimulates your endorphins and enkephalins (and are very important for pain-relief).
Boost Mode: To use during contractions, the Elle TENS 2 includes two boost modes: one for early labour, and the other when contractions are more frequent. Simply press the boost button to receive an extra surge of power to combat pain during contractions. Alternatively, you can give it to your birthing partner to press when you need to focus.
Opti-Max Technology: Ideal to use in the final stages of labour or whenever you need extra power. Use to adjust the depth of the pulses – either up or down, depending on your needs. Opti-Max Technology is exclusive to all our Elle TENS Machines.
Contraction Timer: The Elle TENS 2 features an upgraded interface, including a contraction timer to measure the duration of your contractions (in seconds). Once the contraction is over and the “boost button” is released, the timer will also track the time between contractions so you can pass it on to your midwife. This will help them understand how much your labour has progressed.
